Objective:
Fight the City was an apparel brand founded by Pun during a period when New York City had classified non-traditional fighting sports as illegal. The brand was created to honor the art and spirit of everyday fighters—those who viewed combat sports not as violence, but as a true form of creative and personal expression.
Goal:
Build a cultural movement that united the worlds of art, fashion, and fight sports, amplifying the voices of fighters and artists who shared a passion for discipline, creativity, and resilience. Through apparel, events, and collaborations, the brand sought to redefine how society perceived combat sports and the people behind them.
Result:
In 2013, Fight The City hosted two groundbreaking showcases: one in Los Angeles at TAG (Toy Art Gallery) and another in New York City at The Penthouse of The Time Hotel. Each event featured world-class artists customizing one-of-a-kind boxing gloves, later auctioned off to benefit the Hoods To Woods Foundation.
The brand quickly gained recognition from major publications including:
Through these events and collaborations, Fight The City became more than a brand—it was a creative movement celebrating the fight as art and the artist as fighter.
