Objective:
Oxygen Network approached Pun to develop a compelling show open for its true-crime series Killision Course. The creative brief called for a cinematic and suspenseful concept that visually represented the fractured nature of the stories being told. The network needed a flexible design system that could be easily updated with new cast photography while maintaining a consistent and dramatic tone.
Goal:
Create a sleek, high-impact show open built around the concept of reflections in a pane of broken glass, symbolizing the fragmented truth and tension central to the series. The goal was to craft an adaptable motion design system that combined visual storytelling with technical efficiency, allowing Oxygen’s team to easily refresh visuals for future episodes.
Result:
Pun collaborated closely with Oxygen Network’s internal creative team to lead the design and animation process. He brought the broken glass reflection concept to life through cinematic lighting, layered compositions, and fluid motion transitions that mirrored the show’s themes of distortion and revelation. In addition, Pun delivered a powerful toolkit that enabled the internal team to seamlessly swap actor photography and assets as needed. The final show open launched successfully, setting a gripping visual tone for Killision Course and establishing a signature look that carried through the entire series.
